Thought Provoking Imagery On A Business Card For A Design Company
The imagery on this business card works on many levels. The card was specially created for the Year Of The Wooden Horse so the image of a wooden chess piece, a knight, was chosen as a starting point. This image is on the outside of a small red envelope which is reminiscent of the Hong Bao which are given out at the time of the Lunar New Year. Inside is the business card, which when pulled out reveals what's inside the wooden chess piece - the strong foundation which we don't see on the outside and which we rarely think of unless it's shown to us. On the outside of the envelope are the good wishes one has for the client, such as one would give at the time of Lunar New Year. Hidden within these good wishes is the word 'Tactic'. This ties into the chess theme and the motto chosen for this design - 'Good wishes are achieved by great TACTIC that comes from within.'
