For the record John, the card above was printed by Dolce Press. I don't want anyone to think I'm responsible for their fine press work pictured above. Check them out for sure...

Hey, thanks for the follow up. I just ordered a small amount of cards from Vista but when I run out, I want something more fancy. Can you send me an email and I'll make a note to follow up with you when I run out.

BTW - great site. I used to love seeing updates at Cardgazer but it appears they stopped maintaining the site.

John -

Cards like THIS are relatively easy to have produced... A number of the cards on this site are letterpress printed and many of the people posting them are the printers also... Dolce Press, Studio on Fire, Mandate Press, and myself.

I can't help you in terms of cards being printed on plastic or stamped in metal, but clearly it is possible. Also take note on which plastic cards are being printed ON, and which are simply printed paper glued to plastic...

I'm sure any of the letterpress printers on here would be more than happy to give you a quote on cards, myself included, if you're interested.

I'm curious about how much cards like these cost. Also, where would you go to have these printed? I'm sure companies like VistaPrint don't do that kind of printing. Those cards definitely set the business apart.

Perhaps a good blog article would be to write about where to get special cards printed and how much they cost. I've seen aluminum and clear plastic ones that are really cool but I have no idea how or where to get them.
